Moving toward a natural, chemical free lifestyle can feel overwhelming. The research and label comparison alone is tedious, but fortunately, there are numerous companies committed to providing quality, safe products (and not just ones that slap "natural" on a label and call it good).

I try really hard to find options I feel good about for myself and my family, and I want to do more to share them with others.

Earlier this year, Zak Detox Deodorant sent me a stick of their original deodorant to review. You can read that post here, but to sum it up, not only do they use quality, naturally derived ingredients that fit in with my desire to eliminate chemicals wherever possible, their product worked, and it worked well.

If you've ever looked for a natural deodorant, you know that's no small feat.

I had been searching for natural deodorant, but this worked so well that I haven't tried anything new since. I was still using the same stick they had sent in March, when they asked me if I'd like to try their new super smooth formula.

Yes, please.

It arrived just in time to pack along on our last minute road trip to Las Vegas. The thought of driving for seven hours with three kids who barely sit through breakfast was enough to make me sweat. Actually sitting in the backseat, handing out food, crayons, and books before they realize they want them, not to mention trying to hold three kids' hands did make me sweat.

But hey, new deodorant.

The new formula works just as well as the original, and I've been using it since we got home a month ago. It goes on much easier, which, I realize deodorant isn't difficult to apply to begin with, but as the name implies, it's very smooth.

I do have to reapply it halfway through the day. I've found that to be more of a duration issue than anything. It holds up well throughout workouts, church, and watching the election results come in, but it isn't incredibly long-lasting. Luckily, Zak sells mini sticks that you can throw in your car, desk, or bag.

Right now, you can get 20% off your order with the code ZAKWHITNEY20.
